Announcement - LCF National Mens T20 season plan 2022

LCF Elite Men Sub-Committee would like to announce the following details for the 2022 LCF Senior Men’s National team season for T20’s.

Main focus for initial part of the outdoor season is preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Regional B Qualifier in Finland (end of July).

Note: T10 and possible Lux Development Team season schedules will be communicated separately once details are available.

Dates of T20i World Cup qualifying tournament announced

The dates of our 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-Regional Qualifier are now official, with us set to play in Finland in the last week of July.

Luxembourg PART OF THE European Cricket Network family

Luxembourg’s champion club Star CC will join 30 teams in the European Cricket League (ECL), as part of our long-term partnership with the European Cricket Network.

men’s national team reach Continental Cup Final

Luxembourg were the highest placed touring team in this ICC-recognised tournament held in Romania from 2-5 September. This performance saw the national team reach 54th position in the global ICC T20 rankings.

Women’s Cricket Tournament

A highlight of 2021 was the 21-22 August tournament using soft cricket balls featuring eight teams and some 80 players. LHoFT has now become the Luxembourg Cricket Federation’s first ever sponsor of the Indoor Cricket League which features some 200 registered players many of whom work within the FinTech sector.

LuxT20i Trophy A Success, And Luxembourg Placed second

The Belgium Red Tigers won all four games to secure the LuxT20i trophy at the Pierre Werner Cricket Ground, the first time Luxembourg had hosted fully ICC recognised T20 Internationals.
