We compete in games organised and recognised by the world governing body the International Cricket Council.

Our position in the official global ranking table is based on performances in these matches.

Our first official match was in 2003. See our international history.

2021

The men’s national team rose eight places in the official ICC T20i rankings in 2021, reaching 54th.

The highlight was making the final of the Continental Cup in Romania on 2-5 September. We beat Hungary, Malta and Bulgaria, only coming up short against the higher-ranked hosts in the final. Scorecards here.

Luxembourg could have gone all the way in the Central Europe Cup in Prague on 21-23 May after a win against an Austrian team ranked 23 places above us. However, inconsistent performances by the Red Lions earlier in the weekend enabled Austria to take the cup. Scorecards here.

2020

Luxembourg hosted an ICC-recognised international tournament for the first time in 2020.

The Lux T20I Trophy featured Luxembourg, Belgium and Czechia, and was won by Belgium which won their four matches with ease, including setting a world T20I record. Luxembourg and Czechia beat each other once. Notable performances from Luxembourg players included skipper Joost Mees being the 2nd highest scoring batsmen in the tournament and Marcus Cope claiming seven wickets, the 2nd highest tally.

The planned Central European Cup in Prague scheduled for 24 - 27 Sept was cancelled due to Covid restrictions.
